Albert L Perri age 94 passed away quietly on Thursday morning Jan 16, 2020. He was born in Seattle to Frank and Lena Perri on Jan 26,1925. He had five brothers and sisters. He attended St Therese Grade School and Seattle Prep High School then attended Trade School as a Machinist.
He was injured before going into the service and shortly after followed a calling as a Jesuit Brother. He served as a Missionary Jesuit Brother for 10 years, serving mainly in Alaska at St. Mary’s Mission and along the Alaskan Yukon River. Over the years though he felt called to family life. He left the Jesuit Brothers and resumed his career as a Machinist. He worked in Alaska setting up and running Alaskan Salmon Canneries for the majority of his working life. He worked for Haines Alaska Packers in Haines Alaska, Petersburg Processors in Petersburg, AK. Azachorak Corp in Mountain Village Alaska, and Trident Seafoods in Bristol Bay, AK.
He met his wife Marguerite Garske and married in October 1964. They remained married until her passing in April of 2012. They had three children and resided in Burien, WA for the remainder of their lives. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish for most of his married life. He also attended and contributed to St. Bernadette Parish and Holy Family Parish in his later years. He had a passion for prayer and spent much of his life in prayer and service to God and the Blessed Mother. He prayed continuously for his family and friends and those that asked for prayer. He had a joyful and kind spirit that drew many to him.
He is survived by his three children, Albert C. Perri, Anne Marie Grant (Scott Grant), Thomas J. Perri (Marnie Perri) He deeply loved his eight Grand children Kayla Cuthbert (Dalton Cuthbert), Collin Perri (Hannah Perri), Brandon Perri (Devany Perri), Nathan Perri, Sarah Grant, Brielle Perri, Nolan Grant, Hanna Perri. He was also blessed to have four Great Grandchildren Everly Cuthbert, Oaklan Cuthbert, Canaan Cuthbert and Atlas Perri.
Funeral Mass and Rosary will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Parish on Friday Jan 31, 2020. Rosary at 10:15 AM, Funeral Mass at 11:00 and Reception to follow at St. Francis Parish Hall. Family Burial at Gethsemane Cemetery after reception.
