Alverna May Jackson, 89, of Shoreline passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016. She was born February 20, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of the late Charles and Alvernia (Burgess) Scheidell. She married Frank Jackson, Sr. on October 13, 1944 in Weiser, Idaho. He preceded her in death. Alverna attended the Forest Hills Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Shoreline Senior Center, Republican Presidential Task Force and the Seattle Art Museum. She loved getting together with her family and enjoyed knitting, gardening, shopping, buying gifts for people. Alverna is survived by her son, Duane Jackson and wife Jan; two daughters, Connie Welch and husband Keith and Alicia Kelley and husband Patrick; nine grandchildren, Randy, Dawn, Christie, Seth, Joshua, Amy, Keith, Shawn and Allison; eighteen great-grandchildren; sister, Joan Hanson and brother, John Scheidell. She was preceded in death by her son Frank Jackson, Jr.
