Born on May 29, 1963 in Seattle, Ann graduated from King’s High School in 1981. She graduated from Seattle Pacific University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. After graduating from SPU, she worked as a Registered Nurse for Northwest Hospital. In addition to nursing, Ann loved her family, adventures in the outdoors, animals, and traveling. Her greatest source of happiness was spending time with her son Evan. Together they enjoyed many fishing trips all over the Pacific Northwest, adventures at their cabin in the snow, and travels to meet Ann’s extended family in Norway. Together they cared for many pets, including dogs, chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs. Family was very important to Ann, and she took great joy in following the lives of all her nieces and nephews. She was thrilled to have had the experience to travel to Honduras in 2022 with her sister, Carol, to meet her nephew’s daughter, Kiara. She also loved to spend time with her niece’s son, Nico, doing chemistry experiments and playing with her pets.
Ann was preceded in death by her mother, Helen, and her father, Halton. She is survived by her son, Evan; her two siblings, Carol and Dennis; and her nieces and nephews, Michael, Christina, Erik, Emily, and Nathan. A private graveside service will be held at Evergreen Washelli Cemetery, followed by a celebration of life at a later date.
