
Anna was born in Lingle, WY but grew up on a farm near Lyman, Nebraska. She especially remembered the hard work on the farm. Weeding the sugar beet fields was not a task she liked . She was not staying in farming for her life.
Her family was able to send her to Hastings Business College in Hastings, NB. She did well in the secretarial courses and had a good time living in the dorm.
During WWII, she worked in a number of civil service positions. Anna was interested in a young man from Iowa, Robert Jensen, who was in the Navy. Ultimately she relocated to Seattle while he was stationed in Bremerton. After they married, they stayed in Seattle. Anna worked some part-time jobs while her children were young. When she could work full time, she worked at Sears & Roebuck catalog store in accounting and retired from there.
As a widow, she explored an interest in Ballroom Dancing enjoying lessons and competition through Arthur Murray Studios. An accomplished seamstress, she sewed many of her competition dresses.
The last 7-8 years of her life were spent living at The Kenney in West Seattle. She felt very comfortable in her home community, often sharing activities with others she had know years before.
Anna is survived by her son, Robert Jensen Jr, her daughter, Katherine Nelson Henry of Zelienople, PA and granddaughter, Annette Nelson of Cranberry Township, PA. Her daughter, Janice preceded her in death.
