Anthony F. Scandiffio was born on September 6, 1930, in Brooklyn, New York as the youngest of 11 children. He was married to Mary Scandiffio from 1956 until her death in 2022. Anthony leaves behind two children, David Scandiffio and Frank Scandiffio, five grandchildren David, Damien, Celeste, Natasha, and Hanna and two great grandchildren Alexis and Kennedy.
At the age of 15, Anthony became a merchant seaman. He was in the Army for eight years and in 1961 he went to work for Consolidated Freightways as a dockworker and swamper.
Around 1963, he started at Union Pacific then transferred to Teamsters Local 174. He worked at Acme Fast Freight until 1972, returning to Union Pacific Motor Freight where he retired in 1994. He also worked at the Olympic/ Westin hotel for 45 years.
Bowling was one of Anthony’s favorite pastimes. On March 18, 2002, he bowled his first 300 game and he continued to bowl up to the age of 91. Other hobbies included skiing, playing softball, golfing, and attending all the grandkids’ sporting events and extracurricular activities.
Anthony was a member of the Holy Rosary church, Sons of Italy, and American Legion.

A funeral service will occur Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 11:00 AM, 11111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA 98133. A committal service will occur Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 12:15 PM at Evergreen Washelli Cemetery, 11111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA 98133.
