Bishop Hardy and I share the same birthday! He was a friend and someone I could confide in! He was kind man. He was always the same whether at his church or in public . If he knew you, he greeted you with a big smile and hug or hand shake! He was gentleman’s gentleman! I miss him and will always remember him! Love you doc! He knew the Bible!

To the First Lady Mrs Hardy my deepest condolences. I truly loved your husband, my pastor Bishop Hardy. Lean on the Lord in your time of sadness.

My Spirit/Heart sends Love and Condolences to Mom Hardy and the entire family.
My inner self and entire atmosphere was sad, hurt and broken when I heard of Bishop's ascension to our Father God.
I must however share the Great Love, Respect, Honor and Admiration that I had and have of him.
He taught me so much, not just Biblical Teaching, but how to deal with difficult situations from a Spiritual Discerning perspective.
Oh, How I Cherished the times we saw each other and embraced with our "Special Heavenly Greeting/Hugs" :-) 
I always looked forward to those!

Bushop Hardy was a very important part of my family he was Papa Hardy to us and my kids. Bishop and my father the Late Pastor Cecil Dodson Sr they called themselves  'Jerusalem  buddies' . They went on Holyland tour and momma Hardy sang on Mars hill.  Something special happened to them on that trip.  My father loved Bishop and mom.  Take your rest sir you have earned your well deserved crown.  I will miss hearing you shout "Glory and fix it. Fix it".  Thank you for being a part of the Dodson clans life. We love you.

We united with the Rose of Sharon Pentecostal Church under your leadership right after we married in 1986. You took us under your wing and provided loving guidance coupled with necessary correction to help us grow. Your love for God and his people taught us that our spiritual foundation must be the priority, because being religious is not enough.

You and Mom Hardy have modeled in your marriage the importance of making each other the priority and have demonstrated that true love can last a lifetime. The deposit you have made in our lives we believe is the glue that has kept us together for these almost 35 years. 

Well done thy good and faithful servant, we celebrate and salute the gift that you've been in our lives and will miss you.  Forever in our hearts.

Bishop Dr. A.L. Hardy was my pastor all my life. He gave me great lessons that I will continue to instill in my life forever. throughout my life of living this man stepped in as someone I could look up to as a grandfather, a father, and a best friend. The bond me and my bishop had was like a bond that I cant have with anybody else. He always showed and expressed that he loved me and that no matter what obstacle came my way or his way he would be there for me. A man that has helped many through there test and trials always making sure to instill God's word into everyday life. A man that would never turn anybody down, that would help anybody and everybody.  Two years ago I answered God's calling to be a minister and bishop took me under his wing, as a youth minister I will make sure to continue to learn teach and preach the word of god like bishop has taught me to do. I love you bishop enjoy your wings I will never ever forget you

  My dad was a devout man of God, a teacher, preacher, mentor, and a councilor to many, but even more than that to me he was just my dad. I would often refer to him as "Bishop Dad"
  My earliest memories of my dad is when he would come down home to Mississippi wearing his Army uniform.  Those were happy times at home with his mother,  my grandmother, whom I lovingly call "Mama". I'm sure I could fill a book with memories of my dad and our family. 
  My dad had four grandchildren, my stepson Carl Wesley Burns Jr-53, Alyson Channell Hardy/Richardson-49, Sean Xavior Hardy/Pittman-43, and Alajawan Charles Hardy/Pittman-32.
  I have a lifetime of memories of my dad to hold on to, I will miss him terribly...

Thank you so much Dr. A.L. Hardy for the opportunity to attend your prestigious Academy of Theology, and then upon graduation, to be offered a place on the faculty. You have been an inspiration to me over so many years. Just sitting in your office inspired me to push myself for the best education, and to be the best Theologian I could be. The D. Min. I earned is one of my most precious accomplishments. And then you introduced me to the Dakes Study Bible, a Bible I continue to use to this day. 

Rest in Peace Bishop Hardy. I'll see you again at the Rapture of the Church (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).

I don't really have the words to do justice to what Bishop Hardy meant to me. He and Bishop Drayton were essentially my spiritual grandfathers. As a kid, I remember trying to imitate his preaching style back at home after services. Anytime I get to a place of questioning or doubting my faith I think back to an experience either at the Rose or at Zion where I saw firsthand the power of applied faith.  Bishop Hardy didn't try to hoop or preach you happy. He had a gift for taking complicated concepts in the faith and making them plain and easily understood. He didn’t try to horde wisdom for himself. He gave us the same tools he used so that we too knew how to go to the Word and find the answers that we needed. 

Bishop dedicated his life to equipping leaders to serve their community through the church. I was honored to earn my Doctorate in Religious Education at the Academy and to teach there for several years following. The education I  received at the Rose and at the Academy, particularly sitting at the proverbial feet of Bishop Hardy was second to none. He elevated the way I thought about myself and the work I do for others. They don't make them like him anymore. This is a tremendous loss to our church community. I hope to live up to things he instilled. Mother Hardy remains in my  thoughts and prayers.

Bishop Hardy will be greatly missed.  He married my husband, John A Oliver and myself on March 4, 1966 and our marriage lasted until John’s passing in 2015.  We were blessed with 49 years of marriage.  Bishop and Mother exemplified two people who shared love, hope, dreams and Jesus with all of us.   My husband and I tried to live by their examples.  What a great legacy Bishop shared with us all.   Until we meet again.

1990 Bishop AL Hardy , surprised our Sunday Service with 20 others Pastors to betow the Doctorate of Divinity Degree from his Pretigious Academy.  We became great friends, had lunch at his house, he exeplimfed the Highest level of Excellence,  was in route to see him and heard the news, Bishop you Forever will be in our Heart.

To my Auntie and cousins I send my love and prayers . Can’t remember your Uncle but I know I have been around him some time in my life. This is from the other half of the Thomas family . We love and wish you guys comfort and healing in this time of sorrow. Much love too the whole Hardy family . Pat , Aaron , Stevie , Timthony Thomas and Aunt Doris

I attended Hardy Academy. Enjoyed every moment.He was a man of God. Enjoyed being in present. So many service i attended.  He will be greatly miss.  Very soft- spoken.

In memory of the best Overseer there could ever be, our beloved Bishop Archie Lee Hardy is a soldier called home.  An extraordinary pastor, teacher, mentor and much more.  He is irreplaceable.  When asked how he was doing, Bishop’s warm and encouraging response was, “If I was playing football I wouldn’t even have to kick.” Then Bishop would add that he is doing quite well.  This devoted and brilliant man of God had such a Theological expertise like no other we’ve ever seen.  Bishop Hardy is sadly missed and will be joyfully reflected and cherished knowing he is at home with God.

It is Bishop Archie Lee Hardy who brought his church family by airplane from Seattle, WA to Dayton, Ohio to draft New Bethany for Christ Church in 2009.   New Bethany for Christ church will cherish his blessed memory always.

 Bishop was called--Bishop Hardy, Pastor Hardy, Pastor, Brother Hardy, Dr. Hardy, Dad Hardy, Father Hardy, and Mr. Hardy. Yet, he never allowed any title to change who he was--a  CHOSEN man of God. Because that is who he was. You was my Pastor, and the father I never knew.  
To so many of us, You was a teacher/instructor like no other, you was a pastor like no other, you was a perfect example of a good husband like no other, and, you was a good pastor/leader like no other. If you taught it, I believe that the teaching  was from the Inspired Word of God. If we were asked read the Word, I believe that through that same Inspiration, you made sure it was clearly  understood. Your answers to any question was "Let's see what the Bible says". This will be missed.
Your knowledge of the Scripture, I surely will miss. Because, I believe your knowledge was God ordained, and not only self-learned. Yes, you will surely be missed. You and Sister (Momma) Hardy were a pair. Yes, yes, you are going to be  missed. 
To You Bishop,  yes, you are missed....yes, all you represented...will be missed...."When that last count is made".... Myself and my family will miss you Pastor Hardy...

It's so hard to say goodbye uncle. You was such an inspirational, amazing, informative, loving, and caring uncle. I am so going to miss you. You we're so instrumental to me in my life. Thank you for all the conversations and spiritual advise you gave to me. You never never judged me no matter what we talked about. I had the best uncle ever!!! Rest now uncle Archie Lee! I want to give honor to a great man my Bishop A L Hardy he touched my life in many ways when I called him with a  question he would always say let's go to Bible and see  what it says. Bishop Hardy you will be missed but never be forgotten .

Our family sends condolences to Mother Hardy, the church family and the family in the transition of this giant of a soldier in the army of the Lord. Our hearts are saddened but we know Bishop you lived your life in preparation for this moment.  Just another soldier gone home.

I had the privilege of knowing Bishop Hardy most of my adult life.I  always  admired him from a distance since we didn't go to the same church. When my pastor retired and moved to a new area I  chose Bishop to be my new pastor. I had the  distinct pleasure of attending the theological school that he and his wife started. I earned my doctorate degree under his and Sister Hardys tutelage. I shall never forget the hospitality and love exstended to me from this awesome man of God. The church that I pastor Bright Star Community Baptist will forever remember the generosity of this great man of God. I shall miss my friend, my pastor, my mentor. Bishop A L Hardy, I consider him my father in the ministry. When ever I was going through a tough time ,I could call him and he would encourage me and my wife. I would call him and he would say rockboy tell me something good, how has the Lord blessed you. My wife and I loved him and his wife very much. Bishop you will be missed. 

Bishop AL Hardy I  met years ago, I was a member of St. John MB Church.  I couldnt get enough of listening to his beautiful wifes singing.  There are so many wonderful memories.  He was such a great man of God..  He and Sis. Hardy always met you with a those beautiful smiles and kinds words. Bishop was some kind of preacher.   He will truly be missed on this earth.  Now he has a new home up in Glory,   Rest easy Bishop, gone but never forgotten.  We will meet you on that great gettin up morning.  

I thank God for Bishop Hardy and am so grateful that I was allowed by God, To spend sometime in life with such a great man of God. And I'm also grateful to the Bishop for teaching me a wonderful term of endearment that I still use to this day: (DEAR HEART)

Bishop ALHardy has truly touched and shaped  my life for God and. His Legacy will never die....Bishop is now.  in Heaven........don't worry  Bishop we will take care of Dr, Gladis, Sis , Hardy...I Love her too,  ( my mom in the Ministry)
 

 He was A man that all men should  strive to be.  A leader  of leaders, A friend  above all friends, & A husband  that would put even the best men  to shame. I know he is on the other side shouting  "Glory",  as only he can.  My family  & I will truly miss him.

One of our Fathers best friends. Before I was born, our Father, The Late Pastor John Oliver drove to Tacoma and brought Pastor Hardy and his wife to live in the Mother in law Apartment at 900 Hiawatha Place South. As they served in ministry together at St. John's Missionary Baptist Church...my parents were blessed with ME! Affectionately known as "Pappoose" by Pastor Hardy. Needless to say, we grew up with this wonderful man and his wife as "family". He has been with us through IT ALL.  Although Pastor Hardy moved into his own Ministry calling and fulfilling his vision of Theology instructions. He continued to be connected and present for our family over ALL of these years. He has touched and impacted generations.  He was " the connection" of the love and legacy of our parents and siblings.  He lived his life full and well. I thank the Lord for the memories, stories, smiles and love from him. Now the Elder Guards whom I esteemed "The GREATESTS" are all together,  resting. Rest Pastor Hardy, Rest.

Bishop Hardy officiated my parents wedding over 50 years ago, and was a mentor to my father.  I was honored to be under his oversight at the Hardy Academy and to preach my first revival at The Rose Of Sharon. Thank God for the life, love, and legacy of Bishop A.L. Hardy.

I called you Grandpa! Thank you for your wisdom, unconditional love & example. I’ll cherish, honor & love you forever. I know I’ll see you again. My goodness this is hard. Love you Bishop!! 

Bishop was EVERYTHING I needed him to be. Shepherd comforter a father and uncle grandpa no matter what it was he knew just what I needed and that was a Word from God.  One thing in this world that I know about Bishop Hardy is that he loved ALL  and he cared about what direction  our souls were headed.  I love you Bishop and this world down here below will never be the same without you. Yet I promise to keep holding on to God’s unchanging hand and trusting and believing in the Lessons that you have instilled in me through Gods Word.
