Audree Margaret Corr passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018 , at her North Seattle home. Audree was born February 25, 1918 in Butte, Montana the daughter of Aubree and Margaret (Marge) Crail. Audree married Frank Corr on July 10, 1941 and later settled in Seattle, Washington where they raised their family. Frank preceded her in death December 12, 1990. They were married for 49 years.
She was a graduate of the University of Montana and went on to teach in the Seattle area serving the children at both Christ the King and St. Alphonsus Catholic schools. Audree once shared one of the highlights of her life was her second career and independence as a teacher.
Audree was the center and galvanizing force of her family. Fondly remembered as our" Queen Bee". She immersed herself in the comings and goings of each and every family member; both young and old. At 100 years of age she was sharp as a tack offering sage advice and letting us know when she thought something was asinine. As the matriarch of the family, she was strong, practical, generous, and nurturing. She loved life, meant what she said, and wasn't afraid to wear purple as she grew old. Her love of family was and is the cement that binds us.
She is survived by her children and (spouses); Colleen Chinn, Oakland, CA, Kevin and (Premjai) Corr, Fairbanks, AK, Kathleen Shepro, Anchorage, AK, Sean and (Jacqueline) Corr, Seattle, WA, Bridget and (Phil) Loudon, Fairbanks, AK, and daughter in law Joan Corr, Edmonds, WA; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Frank (Crail) Corr, a great-grandson, Anthony Corr, and a sister, Adele Wilcox.
Grave site funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery, 205 NE 205th St, Shoreline Washington.
