

Barry Sadao Kikuchi, passed away on January 21, 2019 after battling cancer for the past three years. He was born in Seattle, Washington on September 3, 1947, to Iwao Kikuchi (who passed away 3 months prior to his birth) and Shizue Toda Kikuchi.
Barry graduated in 1965 from Garfield High School in Seattle. After receiving his Business Degree from Seattle University, he pursued a career in the wine and liquor industry. In retirement, he volunteered for The City of Kent's Meals on Wheels and worked at the ShoWare Center in Kent.
He is survived by his mother Shizue, loving wife, Shelley Yamada Kikuchi, his siblings, Fred Kikuchi (Sue) and Frances Aoki (Ken) and their families, as well as many other relatives.
We wish to thank the many friends and family members who have been there and supported Barry over the last 71 years. A big THANK YOU goes to Dr. William Harris and his staff at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance for their outstanding, kind and knowledgeable care and to the many other medical providers at the University of Washington Medical Center and at Kaiser Permanente/Group Health who helped battle his cancer.
No public service will be held. In lieu of flowers, koden or remembrances, please make a donation to SCCA, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, or any charity of your choice. Please hold friends and family close to you.
