Bertha Mae Thomas Barnes, age 89, of Seattle, Washington passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022. Bertha Mae was born September 27, 1932 in Helena, Arkansas, and has been a resident of Seattle, Washington for over 50 years. Bertha was preceded in death by her husband Shelly William Barnes of 48 years and daughter Karen Barnes. She is survived by daughters: Rochelle Willis, Angela Barnes (Terry Young), Romona Barnes (Michael Bjergum), and Faye Bridges. Grandchildren: Sheniece, Shellton, Aomi, Tia, Michael, Faith, Joy, and Great-grandchildren, Shakeem, Hope, and Brielle.
A visitation for Bertha Mae will be held Monday, January 17, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Evergreen Washelli Funeral Home, 11111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA 98133. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Evergreen Washelli Cemetery, 11111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA 98133.
