Betty June Burger, age 92.5, of Arbor Heights, West Seattle, passed away on April 08, 2019 (at 12:00am). She was born in Seattle, Washington on July 17, 1926. Betty June Payne graduated from James A. Garfield High School in Seattle. Betty went on to earn a Radiologic Technologist Certification from Providence Hospital, School Of Radiology. She married Vale William Burger on June 06, 1947.
Betty Burger had a career as a banking teller for National Bank Of WA, Seattle-First National Bank/Bank Of America at Westwood Village, her career spanned 44 years. She retired in April 2006 at the age of 79.5. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and later at Peace Lutheran. She volunteered at the White Center Food Bank and had a passion for hiking Mt. Rainier, reading novels and reading US and British history and biographies.
She is survived by her eldest Son, Jeffrey William Burger and her Daughter, Janice Louise Burger. Granddaughter, Serena Marie (Burger) Cheuvront who is married to Marc Cheuvront. Great-Granddaughters, Lily Marie Cheuvront and Destiny Rae Cheuvront. Nieces, Christine Anne Burger, Deborah Payne Towner and Melody L Payne and Nephew, Larry Payne.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 04, 2019, 11am, at Peace Lutheran Church, 8316 39th Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98136.
