Dr. Beverly Davis was born on February 6, 1949 in Jamaica, New York and attended high school in Brooklyn. Her parents, Blanche Odell Newsome Davis and Samuel Archie Davis, preceded her in death. She passed away on December 24, 2015 after a valiant six-year battle with cancer and is survived by her brother Robert and her son Noah. Dr. Davis received her Ph.D in social work from Bryn Mawr College. She enjoyed an illustrious career which included teaching, development, management of social work programs, and working as a practicing psychotherapist. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
