Beverly Burdette Stanton, age 77, passed away on November 19, 2013, in Seattle Washington. She was born on November 12, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah, but has been a resident of Seattle for 54 years.
She was preceded in death by her sister Janice Burdette Affleck. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Louis Smith Stanton, son Louis Burdette Stanton and daughter-in-law Ann Dee Stanton, daughter Elizabeth Stanton Kelly and son-in-law David Eugene Kelly, and grandchildren Allison Abeje Kelly and Aaron Malik Kelly.
Beverly was a Board Member for the League of Women Voters of Seattle in the 1970s, President of the Northgate Elementary School PTA in the 1970s, President of the Haller Lake Improvement Club in the 1980s, Chair of the Bitter Lake Advisor Council in the 1980s, an active member of other community organizations, including the March of Dimes Charity.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Providence Hospice of Seattle, the League of Women Voters of Seattle, and Planned Parenthood.
Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 2:00pm at Evergreen Washelli Tribute Center, 11111 Aurora Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98133.
