
He attended the University of Washington where he was a member of the Delta Upsilon fraternity.
Bruce graduated from the "U" in 1950. That same year he married Helen Grant and they designed had built a home in West Seattle. He also began his career with Dean Witter where he would be a broker for the next 50 years. He did take time from work to travel to Hawaii, Russia and throughout Europe.
He liked to tinker around the house, including still mowing the lawn into his 90’s. Crossword puzzles and reading were passions of his. Partnering with his father-in-law, he built the family cabin on Vashon Island. His family was his pride and joy and loved spending time with all of them.
Bruce is preceded in death by his wife Helen and his daughter Cindy He is survived by his daughter Cathy, grandchildren Kimberly, Joe and Molly, and 3 great grandchildren. He was lucky to find love a second time with Elaine, who also precedes him, and her daughters Lisa and Amy and their many children.
