Carol Ann Haviland 76, of Lake Stevens passed away peacefully and quietly December 26th, 2014. She slipped into heaven joining her husband Don (Curly), parents Clifford and Eleonore, her sister Shirley, son Lon, fathers-in-law Jim and Harry, brothers-in-law Tom and Elbert, her beloved dog Jack and friends who preceded in death before her. How happy she must be and what a welcome to heaven she received.
Carol was one of four daughters born to Clifford and Eleonore Williams. She grew up in the Capital Hill area of Seattle and graduated from Garfield High School. She later met and after many years of dating, married the love of her life Don Haviland. They were married for 34 years before his death in 2002. Although she worked full time, she was a caregiver and nurse to many family members and supported her husband in his charity work helping others in need. Carol was a loving, kind, caring and giving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend of many who gave to others and did not ask for anything in return, especially when she was in need of help herself.
Carol loved Christmas and the Christmas lights, making cookies for her family, loved gardening when she was able. She loved the phone calls or visits from her family. She liked long drives, taking in the views of the mountains, rivers and the changing of the seasons. She liked relaxing in the sunshine feeling the warmth on her face or the slight breeze of the wind. She also loved the many cats she had over the years. Most of all she loved family.
Carol leaves behind sisters Doris Gardner and Irene Williams; two sons, Ron Haviland and wife Bea, Randy Haviland; daughter Connie Graham and husband Wally; nephew Russ Gardner and wife Jerri, nieces Sandra Roberge and husband Dan, Patti Tourigny and husband William, Cathy Prater and husband James. She also leaves behind her best friend Marilyn (Nelson) Shull and her husband Dennis, many great nieces and great nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of friends. We were all blessed to have Carol be a part of our lives.
