
Died on May 18, 2001at the age of 56. She is survived by her devoted husband James Jollimore, who has loved her for over 30 years and her children, Stephanie Teman, Heidi Brownlow, and Michelle Teman and her step-children Betty Weir and James Jollimore, Jr. She is also survived by her parents, Ernest and Alta Petterson, her brothers and sisters, Merrill Petterson, Faith Gaines, Wayne Petterson, Cheri Villeburg, and Dean Petterson wife Josephine, her grandchildren, Zachary Bechtold, Dayna Jollimore, Jessie Bechtold, Hannah Brownlow, Chelsea Weir, Jake Weir, and Olivia Jollimore and by many nieces and nephews.
Carole was born on November 5, 1944 in Seattle. She attended King?s Garden Primary in Seattle and graduated from Columbia High School in Richland in 1962. She than earned her LPN certificated from Edison Technical School now Seattle Central Community College. She worked as a nurse in numerous hospitals and nursing homes including Virginia Mason, Burien General Hospital now Highline Community Hospital, and Olympic Crest Nursing Home and also as a pharmacy technician at Washington Pharmaceutical Services. Carole was a remarkable person with an adventurous spirit. She was extremely energetic and never had idle hands. She was an avid hiker and skier and shared these loves with her children. She enjoyed gardening and created beautiful landscapes. Carole was an active member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Des Moines and established their recycling program. She also enjoyed singing in their choir. She was a charter member of the Friend 2 Friend Program, a program that offers friendship to adults with mild special needs. She was also a Brownie troop leader. She spent time with her children and taught them to be independent. She will be missed. A Memorial service will be held for her at 4:00pm May 21, 2001 at Columbia Lutheran Home in Fremont, Washington.
