
Beloved wife, mother, and friend. Caroline Dimaggio and twin sister Josephine were born in Chicago on May 6, 1920 to Salvatore and Mildred Dimaggio. Their brother, Robert was killed in action in WWII. She attended business college and then went to work for the phone company in Chicago and Pasadena, California, where she met, and, on May 9, 1952, married Marine Corp Officer, Lawrence M. ?Tag? Christensen. At the end of Tag?s tour of duty in Korea, the couple moved to Concrete, WA. where he was the high school football coach and then on to Mercer Island and Mukilteo. In addition to being a homemaker, Caroline worked at the public libraries in Mercer Island and Everett, at the Lynnwood Parks and Recreation Facility and was a volunteer at Stevens Hospital. Tag and Caroline lived their retirement years between homes in Everett and Arizona and were active with their children?s families. Tag passed away in March of 2002 from congestive heart failure and Caroline rejoined him when she lost her battle with cancer on August 12, 2002. Caroline is survived by her sister, Josephine; son, Larry; daughter, Cathy Wride; grandchildren, Jonathan and Melissa Wride and great-grandson, Tanner Quinton Wride. Memorial service to be held Monday, August 26, 12:30PM; University Presbyterian Church.
