Curt passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026, at the age of 84, surrounded by his loving family, after a long and meaningful life. Born in Astoria, Oregon, Curt was the son of Jerome and Mary Greenberg. He grew up in a close-knit family, as the younger brother to his beloved sister Michelle Greenberg Sholkoff, z”l, and his two younger brothers, Rob and Barry, creating a bond throughout their lives.
Curt moved to Seattle for college and graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Biology. It was there that he met Beverly, the love of his life and devoted wife. Together they built a family with their two sons, Scott (Laura) and Michael (Michelle). Curt’s passion for nature and his genuine desire to share his knowledge with others, young and old, inspired a wide range of endeavors and philanthropic efforts.
Above all, Curt prioritized his family which was evident in the way he lived his life. He never missed a meaningful event or moment in his children or grandchildren’s lives. He was affectionately called Pappoo by his grandchildren, Dylan, Paige, Miles, Maisen, and McKinley, with whom he formed deep, individual connections that brought him immense joy.
Curt will be deeply missed each day, but never more than at the joyful gatherings in their home with family and friends. He made sure everyone felt included, always ensuring there was room for anyone who wished to join.
The family is grateful for the community and care Curt received at the Nov Home.
