Dale Hurst, passed away in Edmonds, Washington on July 1, 2016. He was born in Payson, Utah to Paul Hurst and Zora Pickering Hurst on August 8, 1931. Dale served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Northern States Mission. He also served in the U.S. Army and earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Dale worked as an accountant for Boeing and was a long term resident of Mountlake Terrace, Washington. He enjoyed being outdoors, camping, collecting and polishing rocks, studying his family history, and spending time with his family.
Dale is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Eleana Smith Hurst, his 4 daughters Elizabeth Jones (Larry) of Georgia, Melanie Gates of Washington, Dayleen Westover (Kirk) of Washington, Jeannine Johnson (Todd) of Idaho, 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, his sister Beth Slade (Roger) of Utah and brother Byron (Nelda) of Florida, as well as many friends and relatives.
