
Don, 62, passed away in Auburn, Washington after a long illness.
Don is survived by his wife of 32 years, Brenda Oishi, son Jamison, daughter Cori Ryan, and grandchildren Hallie and Cameron Ryan. He is also survived by his mother Alice Oishi, brothers GlenHelen, MelSadie, VicBonnie, Ron, DennisSusan, sisters Jane Oishi, Linda Bradshaw, ElaineDougGodfrey, and Sharon Jim Clawson, and numerous nieces & nephews.
Don was a US Air Force veteran. He retired from Boeing after 30 years of service. Don enjoyed his bowling league that he was on for over 20 years and the Oishi Bowling Tournament. Don was a very important part of the community, he helped coach his daughter?s soccer & softball teams also his son?s baseball team. He was the committee chairman for Boy Scout Troop 330. He helped many boys including his son achieve the rank of Eagle. Papa watched his grandchildren for 3 years where many memories and stories will be cherished.
Don and his kids went on a vacation to Disneyland last year. He rode rides, took a lot of pictures and had a great time. His highlights of the trip was for Don to see Donald Duck, his favorite character, and the look on his grandson?s face when he saw Disneyland for the first time.
Don loved volunteering for his church. He spent several years helping with the Russian Mission auction. God and his church were very important to him.
Don will be truly missed by his family & friends. Those who knew Don loved his dry sense of humor, his unique laugh, and his love of cats.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Diabetes or Kidney Foundations.
