I am the daughter of Don and Shirley Aicher. Dr. Borg was my family dentist until his retirement. I will always remember him talking to me with his mask on while he was working on my teeth. He was a great dentist and I have always heard good things about the 
dental work still in my mouth. I am 45 yrs. old.
My parents Don and Shirley will be unable to attend any services as they are living in their winter home in Palm Desert. I will relay the information to them about Dr. Borg's death. Love in Christ, Michelle

To The Family of Dr. Borg,

I recently became aware of your loss and want to take this opportunity to extend my profound condolences.

Dr. Borg was a friend and colleague of my father during the time they served together in the U.S. Army Reserve.  It was this relationship that led to Dr. Borg being my dentist for most of my childhood.  In speaking to his abilities and bedside manner, the highest tribute I can pay is to say, "I was never terrified of visiting my dentist the way some of my friends were to visit their's".

Dear Dutch and family,
Please accept our expression of sympathy on the passing of Don by a golfing buddy of Don's of some years back.

On behalf of the 50th General Hospital Association members, I would like to offer our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Col. Borg, DDS.  We are aware of the sacrifices made by individuals who volunteer for duty in the U.S.Army Reserve, and are grateful for the time and effort put forth by Dr. Borg in his service to our country.

Dearest Dutchie:Words and tears can  never take away the sorrow that we all share with you, but the unselfish love and the beautiful memories that Don gave us will always live in our hearts. Don was the father that I never had by allowing me to be part of his beautiful family,giving all of us unconditional love, laughter, and such memorable times that will live for ever in our hearts. Dr Borg was the trusted family dentist to three generations of our family--Hazel Gigstad now 91, who also worked with him during his reserve days, Jerry and Sammie and daughter Rana.

Remembering Don fondly as a very special good friend of our brother, John Rocky Moore.  John always enjoyed your golf games and visits following.  Know he has been waiting for you; probably you already have a golf time scheduled.  Dutch, we are very sorry for your devastating loss, and hope that all your wonderful memories will help ease the pain.  We always remember you having a wonderful smile; hope that will continue.

It was with sadness that I learned that Dr. Borg had passed away.  It truly doesn't seem like 40 years ago that we were neighbors in Meridian Park.  My parents, John and Eileen, always spoke with fond memories of the great neighbors and fun times during those years.
I personally owe Dr. Borg a special thanks.  Being a neighbor and our family dentist, he encouraged me in the persuit of my dental degree.  I still remember visiting his office to observe and him patiently answering my numerous questions while he worked away.
I think that it was during that time that I subconsciously formed a connection between dentistry and golf.  I too have developed a passion for the game and I'm not sure whether to thank or curse Dr. Borg for that!!
With the deaths of Eileen in May and John in September, our family knows the grief and sorrow that you are going through.  It is a sad time for everyone, but also a time to remember the great family, friends and life that he had.  I'm sure there are many people like myself that feel fortunate to have crossed paths with Dr. Borg during his lifetime.
