Donald E. Pike, 87, of Seattle, passed away peacefully at home on March 8, 2013. He was born in Pomfret, CT, February 15, 1926, to Floyd and Eliza Pike. He was preceded in his death by his wife, Juanita. He is survived by his son Donald G. Pike; daughters Deborah Simpson, Cynthia Piontak, Judith Hart, Kathleen Pike Jones; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Sylvia Perkins. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and worked as a painter at the University of Washington for 25 years. Dad was an avid gardener, long-time member of the Seattle Athletic Club, and frequent volunteer at Group Health.
