

Don Porter, 72, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving wife, children and grandchildren on February 5, 2009 in Seattle, WA. He was born December 26, 1936 in Sedro Woolley, WA and has been a resident of Everett, WA for 32 years.
Don was preceded in death by his son Scott Porter. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jo Porter, son Steve (Nancy) Porter, daughter Kimm Conroy, daughter-in-law Deborah Porter and grandchildren Robert, Branton, Stephanie, Bryce, William, Sydney and Jake.
Don was a retired career United States Air Force Officer who, along with his family, traveled throughout many countries. He was very active in the Northwest Chapter of the Paralyzed Veterans of America (NWPVA) where he held the offices of President and National Director. Don also graciously volunteered his time at Providence Hospital in Everett, WA, the Snohomish County Sherriff's Dept. and other various organizations. Don's ultimate joy in life, however, was devoting himself to his family.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at Tahoma National Cemetery 18600 Southeast 240th Street Kent, WA. A reception will follow at NWPVA 616 SW 152nd Street Suite B Burien, WA.
