Donald H. Schindler passed away on May 5, 2014 at the age of 88. Don was born on October 2, 1925, in Goodland, Kansas. He was retired from the Boeing Company where he was an electrical engineer in the aerospace division. In his retirement, he was a potter well known in the Normandy Park area. He had been an elder in the Presbyterian church both here and in Huntsville, Alabama.
Don was survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Margaret Cowan Schindler, and their six children, Daniel Schindler of Seattle, Lucy Murr of Seneca, South Carolina, Carl Schindler of Huntsville, Alabama, Neal Schindler of Normandy Park, Jay Schindler of Vancouver, Washington, and Amy Simmons of Federal Way. He was also survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on May 16, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Lake Burien Presbyterian Church. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall at the church.
