

Donna Mae Webb, age 89, of Newcastle, WA, passed away peacefully at her home on November 2, 2025. Donna was born and raised in Portland, OR, graduating from Jefferson High School in 1954. She also took some business courses at Northwestern College in Portland.
Donna’s first job was working as a Job Clerk at Western Electric Company in Portland where she met her future husband and the love of her life, John. Donna was featured on the cover of Western Electric's Magazine in 1955! Donna and John married in 1956 at the Holladay Park Church of God in Portland. They shared a deep and enduring love for 69 years. Donna and John had four children in Portland before the family relocated to California in 1963. In 1968, the family settled in Kirkland, WA for the next 55 years before downsizing and moving to Newcastle.
Donna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a wonderful cook and loved hosting family gatherings on holidays, birthdays, and other special occasions. Donna’s pies and flakey crust were simply the best! Donna’s infectious smile always lit up the room. Spending time with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren was precious to her. Donna’s life was a testament to the values she held dear - faith, family, and service to others.
Attending church in early childhood, Donna had an unwavering faith in God. Donna was a member of Rose Hill Church in Kirkland and multiple Church of God memberships in the states where she lived. Donna served as a discussion leader for Bible Study Fellowship from 1975 to 1977 and from 1979 to 1981. She spent many hours studying and enjoyed the in depth research required to be well prepared for her courses and discussions.
With heartfelt passion supporting, caring, and assisting the elderly, Donna worked as a caregiver for Hillhaven Home Health Services in 1982. Donna worked for Sea-Mar Community Home Care Service from 1984 to 1986, and Catholic Community Services (Homecare services to the elderly) 1986 to 1992. She also volunteered at the Northshore Manor Nursing Home in Bothell, WA in the activity program. Throughout her many years of working with seniors, Donna received many accolades and Certificates of Appreciation for Outstanding Achievement and Accomplishments.
Always looking for new adventures, Donna enjoyed meeting her neighbors while working at the election polls for primary and general elections for many years. She also volunteered with the American Cancer Society as a district chairman during 1979 and 1980.
One of Donna’s favorite activities was traveling. Visiting places with historical significance such as the American Revolution, the American Civil War, presidential libraries, Lewis and Clark Expedition, battlefields, cemeteries, and exploring various historic castles and old churches. She also enjoyed taking cruises to the Caribbean, Mexico, Alaska, Europe, Scotland, Ireland, Norway, Denmark, Russia, and Estonia.
Besides travel, Donna became proficient with quilting and creating stained glass after taking courses at Lake Washington Vocational Technical Institute in Kirkland. Donna made beautiful quilts for each of her children and herself with each quilt having different patterns and colors. She made beautiful stained glass pieces for family members, friends and acquaintances. Donna’s most challenging stained glass project was creating two tall sidelight windows on either side of the front door of their Kirkland home which are still in place today.
Donna took golfing lessons and joined a women's league playing at Tall Chief and Snoqualmie Falls golf courses in WA. Another favorite passion was genealogical research where Donna was able to go back many generations in her family tree as well as researching John's family tree.
Fresh or saltwater fishing by charter or on their own Seaswirl boat, Donna was an accomplished fisherwoman! Donna could also be found flying kites, collecting shells, and clam digging along the ocean beaches.
Donna also enjoyed quiet time together with John at home listening to music, watching classic movies with hot buttered popcorn, and assembling a myriad of jigsaw puzzles over the years.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, James and Catherine Christianson, and daughter Janise Petherick.
Donna is survived by her husband John Webb; daughters Jeanie Brais (Jerry); Kathy Pace (Scott); son Michael Webb (DeAnna); sister Susan Bowdle (Jerry); Grandchildren Julie Parker; Chris Petherick; Jimmy Brais; Crystal Noel, Laura Brais; and 7 Great-Grandchildren (Dean, Cooper, Lillia, Wyatt, Dylan, James and Eli).
