

Doris Rowe was born on May 15, 1927 to George Rowe & Narvell Johnson in Kildare, Texas. Doris moved to Rodessa, Louisiana where she met and married Wesley Gipson on September 26, 1946 whom preceded her in death after 30 years of marriage. In the early 1950's Doris & Wesley moved to Seattle, WA to be closer to her relatives that had moved here from the south.
Doris was a faithful member of People's Institutional Baptist Church and President of the Gospel chorus. She had an angelic voice that people loved to listen to. While giving her life to Christ she worked and retired from the Four Season/Olympic Hotel after many long years of service. She loved to cook, listen to gospel music and watch baseball games, especially the Mariners.
Doris was the mother of ten children, one of which preceded her in death, Edmond Gipson.
She leaves to cherish her memory 9 of her children Joyce D Williams, Burleson L. Gipson. Jackie A. Mitchell, W. Jerome Gipson, Artemese S. Gipson, Minina Gipson, Samuel H. Gipson, Narvelleta L. Dainels-Pearson and La'Roi Gipson, 19 grand children, 29 great grand children, and 4 great great grand children.
