On September 16, 2026, at the age of 96, Dorothy was peacefully reunited with her loved ones in Heaven, surrounded by family who loved her dearly.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Esker Huling and Angeline Blankenship, her three sisters, Edna, Edith , Shirley , three brothers John , Kenneth “Bud”, Richard “Lee" Blankenship
She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love through her two daughters, Denise and Donel Lintott; six grandchildren, Heidi (Cliff), Sean, Brittany, Desirae, Davey (Josie), and Darcy; eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In the late 1940s, Dorothy moved to Seattle, Washington, where she built a wonderful life. She was married to her beloved husband, Donald Lintott, for 60 years until his passing in 2010.
Dorothy worked as a Bookkeeper for multiple businesses for 40 years. She was hardworking, independent, and proud of the life she created for her family.
Outside of work, Dorothy enjoyed the things that brought people together. She loved reading crime novels, playing bridge with her best friends, going on boat cruises and road trips, attending horse races, and enjoying trips to the casino with family and friends. She was an accomplished bridge player and earned her Sectional Master designation through the American Contract Bridge League.
A devoted Washington sports fan, Dorothy proudly cheered for the Seattle Mariners, Seattle Seahawks, and Washington Huskies.
Some of Dorothy’s happiest memories were made surrounded by the people she loved. She loved family gatherings and welcoming friends into her home in Seattle on the shores of Puget Sound.
She also frequently returned to her beloved hometown of Packwood, where family and friends gathered on the Blankenship property for weekends filled with camping, fishing, flea markets, and evenings around the campfire sharing stories and laughter. These gatherings became treasured memories that will continue to be passed down through generations.
To her family, Dorothy was more than a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was “Nana”—a cherished presence, a source of strength, love, laughter, and countless memories.
Her legacy is not measured only by the years she lived, but by the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely. The stories, traditions, lessons, and memories she created will live on in every generation that follows.
Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort knowing that she is now at peace and reunited with those who went before her. Her love will remain with her family forever.
Rest peacefully, Nana.
You will be loved, deeply missed, and remembered always.
