
A resident of the Alderbrook Golf Course near Union, Washington, passed away July 5, 2004. Dzidra was born in Latvia on May 29, 1928 and had been a long time resident of Seattle. She immigrated to the United States in 1949 after spending 5 years at a displaced persons camp in Germany following the occupation of Latvia by the Russians. She retired from Seattle City Light as an administrative assistant in 1994, and enjoyed dancing, hiking, camping, collecting recipes, gardening, traveling, and the opera. After retirement she took up bowling and loved it, but her passion was her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eriks and Mirdza Robins, and is survived by her second husband, Edward Vogt; daughter, Daina Walt Brodish; son, Maris Alyse Racibarskas; seven grandchildren, Lina, Nicholas, Katrina, Marika, Kristofer, Kristina and Annalea; brother, Janis Brigita Robins three step children, Valerie Baxter, Douglas Vogt, Pamela Nelson; six step grandchildren, Aaron, Ryan, Devin, Rose, Julia, Troy and four nieces. Memorial service will be held at 4:00pm, Saturday, July 10, 2004 at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Chapel, Seattle.
