Eddy Leonard B. Nelwan, 91, of Lynnwood, died Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at his residence. He was born September 10, 1922 in Jakarta, Indonesia, the son of the late Loth and Christina (Zeeling) Nelwan. Eddy married Adeline Helena Tumbuan on March 29, 1947 in Indonesia. He was a member of St. Thomas More Parish in Lynnwood. Eddy enjoyed reading, anything chocolate, joking and teasing the grandkids and the clearing house sweepstakes. He was known to be the security guard at home; checking the doors and windows every two hours and was always early for appointments. Eddy is survived by his wife; seven children, Irma Budisetiawan and husband Tommy, Roy Nelwan and wife Irna, Richard Nelwan and wife Franciska, Victor Nelwan and wife Tatin, Leonora Nelwan and husband Deddy Burhannudin, Anna Maria C. Nelwan and husband Alec and Paul Nelwan and wife Uma; 19 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a brother Chris Nelwan. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Henk and Willy Nelwan.
