Our darling Mother, Edna C. Roberts went to be with her Lord on Sunday, February 3, 2002 in Seattle. She was born in Magda, LA in 1903 to Sally and Iley Simmons. She attended Louisiana State University and taught school in Louisiana. She married Albert C. Roberts in 1925. The next year they were transferred to Longview with Longbell Lumber Co. Edna was preceded in death in 1961 by her husband of 36 years, Albert. She is survived by daughters, Bobbie Roberts, Nita Roberts Bixler and her husband Ralland, all of Seattle; two grandsons, Barry Bixler and his wife Jane of Chandler, AZ and Brian Bixler of Seattle; three great-grandchildren, Jordan, Alexandra, and Derek Bixler; sisters, Maxie Bains of Houston, TX. and Ruth Gonzalez of Sherwood, AR. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church and was a gracious Christian Lady, much loved by her family and friends. Private burial services were held in Longview, WA. Memorial service Saturday, February 9th at 2:00PM, CRISTA Nursing Center Auditorium/Ray Smith Room, 19303 Fremont Ave N., Shoreline.
