Eleanor was born in Ceepeecee British Columbia Canada on 20-November-1943. She married Joseph Frank Couples on 3-December-1960, whom passed away in 1991. She was born and remained a member of the Tla-O-Qui-Aht First Nations people (Native American of Canada) of Vancouver Island. She was also a member of the TOPS group (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) and was approaching her goal weight at the time of her passing. She loved going to Seattle Mariners games, and especially #51 Ichiro. She had many, many interests including reading, puzzles, and creating scrapbooks. She had a profound caring for animals and loved her many cats and dogs that shared her home throughout her life.

She is survived by her only son, Joe Couples, and his wife, Denise Couples.

A remembrance is planned, but a date has yet to be determined.
