Eleanor Lillian Greenman

Eleanor was raised in the outskirts of Fargo, experiencing many childhood hardships including the premature death of her father and later, her mother. She came to Seattle during World War ll to work for the Boeing Company, where she worked in what was then Plant 2 as a riveter. She also traveled to California and worked at the Richmond Shipyards as a welder for a short period of time. Upon returning to Seattle, she worked for Pacific Northwest Bell as an operator, had a career in retail sales and was an elevator girl at a downtown store. After the war, she met her husband Robert and became a homemaker raising a son and daughter in Seattle. She traveled extensively with her husband after he retired, including cruises to Mexico, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, London, Hawaii and even visited her husband’s birthplace of Roxas City in the Philippines. All her siblings, several brothers and one sister, and her husband preceded her in death. Her son, daughter, many nieces, nephews, two grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren survive her.

At her request there will be no service. She will be interred at the Columbarium at Washelli.
