Beloved husband of Luwana Rose Akre, went home to be with his Lord on June 30, 2006 at the age of 73. Survived by his loving wife of 49 years; brother Ken, sister Darlene and five children, John, Jeanette Steve Wilde, Jeff Karen, Jina, Jennifer Eric Welch; ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 6; 9am-8:00pm. A Funeral Service to celebrate his life will be held Friday, July 7; 2:00pm; all at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home 11111 Aurora Ave N. Seattle. Committal, Evergreen Memorial Park. We rejoice in knowing that John is forever in the arms of his Savior.
