Elizabeth (Betty) Abrams, 99, passed away peacefully in Bellevue, Washington after a brief illness. Born in Seattle to Minnie and Abraham Shulman, she was the only daughter with two older brothers Alex and Sam Shulman. She grew up in the Madrona neighborhood of Seattle and attended Garfield High School and the University of Washington where she was a member of Phi Sigma Sigma.
Preceded in death by her first husband of 56 years, Charles (Chuck) Abrams, they raised three daughters. She had a second marriage to Jack Meyers for 10 years who also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children Marlene Fuson (Jon), Dr. Janet Abrams (Steve Pruzan), and Laurel Abrams; her grandchildren Aaron Alhadeff (Emily), Meghan Hanson (Brian), Ryan Fuson (Cristina), Melyssa Noren (Spencer) and Dr. Kaitlyn Wald (Justin) and 9 great grandchildren. She loved and enjoyed being with her extended family of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her stepchildren Marvin Myers (Rebecca) and Robin Ellison (Rabbi Gary) and their children.
Betty was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She had many friendships some of which lasted for more than 70 years. She was active in the City of Hope while living in Arizona with Chuck. Mom was an excellent Mahjong and card player and enjoyed interacting with her friends at the Bellettini where she lived for the past nine years.
