Beloved mother of Samuel and Karen LawHo, widow of the late Rev. Jeremy Law d. 1977, passed away on Feb. 11, 2007 after complications from a stroke suffered on Dec. 29, 2006. Mrs. Law was a graduate of Bethel Bible SeminaryHong Kong, Hope CollegeHolland, MI, and the first woman to graduate from Western Theological SeminaryHolland, MI. At the age of 47, she graduated from Seattle Pacific College with a BS degree in Nursing. She was a gifted Christian teacher, academic dean, pastor's wife and a dedicated registered nurse at Cabrini, Providence and Swedish Hospitals. She also served as Kin On Nursing Home's first Director of Nursing Services. Mrs. Law was born in Xiamen, China, on Jan. 3, 1930, came to Christ as a child and through four countries never departed His side. She was to all who knew her a channel of God's blessing and truth. She lives now in glory forever. Matt. 25:21. In addition to her two children, she is survived by six grandchildren and five sisters.
The funeral service will be held Feb. 17 at the Evangelical Chinese Church at 10am 651 NW 81st ST, 206-789-6380 with a graveside service at Evergreen-Washelli at 1pm. Memorial gifts may be made to the Rev. Jeremy and Elsie Law Memorial Fund in care of the Evangelical Chinese Church.
