Born in Sweden to Regina and John P. Nelson. She was raised in Nanaimo, B.C. with three sisters and three brothers, all deceased. The Nelson family moved to Seattle in 1926. Elsie is survived by a son, Clinton and daughter, Susan Mayberry; two grandchildren and two nephews. No services at her request.
