Emmett Landes

On Jan 29, 2004, at the age of 79, Bud passed away peacefully at home with his five children at his side. He was a long time Seattle resident who graduated from Queen Anne H.S. in 1943 and then served with the US Army Corp. of Eng. 89th Div. in WWII. For most of his life, Bud was a builder and general contractor and was a member of Local 131 Carpenters Union for 55 years. He is survived by his two sons, Mark and Michael, loving daughters Rebecca Jay Watne, Diane Landes, and Nancy Landes, grandchildren Jessica, Aaron, Ross, Mariah and great grandson Colton. He is also survived by his sisters, Donna Jean Hill, Marguerite Smith, Doris Skogmo and Ruby Forst.

Bud was also stepfather to Stephen, John, and Mark, and ?adopted? dad to Grant Hill,. Bud was known for the beautiful gardens and flowers that he

always had, and we now all look forward to being with him again in the eternal garden, which can only be graced by his presence there. We love you, Dad. A memorial to celebrate Bud?s life will be held at his home on Sunday, Feb. 15, at 1:00 p.m. Please come to share and remember his life, and how it
