OBITUARY

Evan Jac Clayton Jr.

January 19, 1976September 27, 2021

Evan Jac Clayton, Jr or “JR” to his family and friends passed away in his Everett, WA home. JR was born on January 19, 1976 to Jac and Judy Clayton and older sister Debbie. From the day this bicentennial baby was born, he was special. He was diagnosed with ClubFoot and Congenital Kyphoscoliosis from a very young age. The doctors told Jac and Judy, he would never walk. Little did they know the stubborn family they were talking to. Not only did he walk just fine, in 1994 he walked across the stage at Roosevelt High school for his high school diploma.

In 1995 Debbie (and husband Darrel) gave Jr the best gift, he got a niece Robin!!! After high school, he attended Edmonds Community College and got his ATA in Computer Service and Networking. Jr and his father Jac started the company Personal Use Computers and they ran it together from 1997 to Jac’s passing in 2008. Together and until his passing, Jr fixed and set up computers and networks for family and friends.

If he wasn’t working on computers, he was working on cars and motorcycles, fixing and restoring. He spent his life being of service to others and creating friendship into families and moments into everlasting memories. Jr loved being an uncle and he took his job seriously especially after losing Debbie in late 2003. He was also an animal lover; he met many of his animals at the rainbow bridge. He loved wolves and big cats. After his much loved cat Gig passed away, he got Harley and Harley was with him until the end.

He is survived by his niece, Robin, brother in law, Darrel, extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father (Jac), Mother (Judy) and older sister (Debbie Peterson). In lieu of flowers, donation to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital Portland in his name for the years they gave us, we weren’t supposed to have. Arrangements are being made & memorial TBA, see Evergreen Washelli website for details.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.Evergreen-Washelli.com for the Clayton family.

JR's dad (Jac) and I drove truck, were good friends. We rode trail bikes together, were hunting partners, and were into C.B together.
We rode to work daily, and was with Jac when we were in a auto accident that prevented Jac from going back to the kind of work we had been doing. I have known JR since he was in diapers, Judy would bring him over to our house so he could splash around in our pool for exercise. JR has remained our friend over the years, and I will miss him. Jackie and I are very old friends also.

JR loved all his "kids" - the menagerie of people from all walks of life regardless of age. He was a brother, mentor, and father figure to many of us. Every step we took, he was proud of our improvements no matter how small. Always willing to lend a hand, an ear, or a hug, he impacted all the lives he touched for the better.
