EVELYN ELLIS, 93, she died peacefully on March 5, 2001 in Edmonds. Born on June 24, 1907 in North Dakota, she was raised in Anacortes and was a long time resident of Seattle and Edmonds. She is survived by four sons, William, Richard, Robert, and Mark; their wives, Lygia, Sharen, Betty Jane, and Dorothy; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; a brother, Eugene Strom, and a sister, Alice Brooks. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rev. Allan S. Ellis, a former professor at Northwest College in 1978. Evelyn was a member of both Shoreline Community Church and Calvary Temple in Seattle. She was a caring lady with a gift for making friends of all ages. She was devoted to her large extended family, including an ?adopted? African girl, supported through World Vision. Memorial services will be held in Shoreline Community Church, 125 N.E. 185th St., Shoreline, on Thursday, March 8, at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Buntain School of Nursing, Northwest College.
