Evelyn W. James died peacefully in the home of her daughter Sandra J. Campbell and devoted son in law Willie August 29th 2011. Born Nov 17th 1912 in Jacksonville Florida Evelyn moved to Winter Park Florida where she was raised in a large loving family home in a close knit community that included many supportive extended family members. Evelyn moved to Washington State with her husband in 1938 lived and raised a son and daughter and lived in her Capitol Hill home for over fifty years. Evelyn was active in Church and volunteer services and was an accomplished seamstress. She later worked at Macy's (formerly Bon Marche) and Frederick & Nelson in gift services. Evelyn is preceded in death by her son Willis Ball and husband Samuel James and survived by her daughter Sandra J. Campbell, granddaughter Dr. Karen C. Moore, great grandchildren Vanessa Moore and Malachi Moore and son in laws Willie L. Campbell and Boris Moore.
