Frances moved over to Seattle in 1960 where she went to Edison Business College for two years, while waitressing at The Millionaires Club.
In the early 1960’s, she got a bookkeeping job at Ballard Blossom and soon learned the tricks of the trade in the flower business. She and her co-worker decided to open their own business where they brightened people’s day for 25+ years.
Frances met her husband, John, in 1962 and started their family with a son, Curtis. Nine years later they had a daughter, Tammy.
They lived in Ballard for 24 years then moved to Edmonds, where they still resided.
Frances enjoyed camping, painting, cooking and gardening. Oh, the flowers she could grow! She was always there for her family, always happy and never complained about anything! She lived with dementia, which progressed slowly these past ten years. Her husband, John, was by her side caring for her. Her happy and loving spirit will live on forever. Her positivity is something her family will try to live by in her honor.
Frances was preceded in death by her mother, Mary, and father, Finney; her brothers, Clarence, Paul, Bill; and sisters, Helen, Rose, Eva and Barbara.
Frances is survived by her husband, John; son, Curtis; daughter, Tammy; grandkids, Nolan and Taya; brother, Tom; sisters, Florence and Dee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 10am at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home, 11111 Aurora Avenue North, Seattle, WA. A private burial for family will be held at noon at Abbey View Cemetery in Brier, WA.
