Frank was born on January 31, 1925, to Don and Martha Smith in Goldbar, Washington. He left high school in his junior year and joined the Navy in 1942, retiring in 1962 in Norfolk, VA. During his service in the Navy, he met and married the love of his life, Marilee Strubin, in 1948. That union was blessed with three children, Susan (Dale) in 1950, Terry in 1953, and Kelley in 1962. He moved his family back to Seattle in 1962. He worked for Texaco delivering gas for 21 years without any accidents.
Frank loved to golf, spend time in his garden, camping, volunteering with Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, and spending time with his family. He was a Freemason since 1959, and a proud member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
Frank is survived by his wife of 74 years; daughter Susan (Dale); sons Terry and Kelley; two grandsons Chris and Neal (Becky); two great grandsons Jake (Kassie) and Josh (Caitlin); and one great-great grandson Jackson.
