

Freddie Mae Craven HOLMAN In Loving Memory Sunrise: September 21, 1921 Sunset: June 9, 2009 Officiating Reverend Robert L. Jeffrey, Sr. New Hope Baptist Church Seattle Freddie Mae Holman, from 1950 until her death, was a resident of Seattle, Washington. After a courageous 5-year battle with heart disease, Freddie Mae passed away peacefully in Seattle. Freddie was one of ten children born in Jonesville, Louisiana to the loving union of the late Fred Craven Sr. and Millie Craven. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jessie Mae Castleberry; son, Keith Jones; grandson, Kenneth Jones, and great-grandson Kenneth Jones Jr.; brothers Sam and Richard Craven; sisters, Mariah Craven, Louise Craven, Mary E. Hughes, Josephine Powell, Mary Alice McKennery, and Willie Mae Johnson. She will forever be cherished by her loving and devoted son, Gilbert Moore and his wife Angel; treasured grandchildren, Tracy Castleberry, Kellen and Nichelle Moore; great-grandson Darryl Castleberry; brother Fred Craven, Jr.; Step sons Thomas, Aaron, and Wayne Holman; step daughters Barbara, Velma, Kay, and Judy Holman; and caring in-laws, J.W. and Clarissa Branch, along with countless other nieces, nephews, family, and friends whom were BLESSED to know her. Freddie was employed 39 years at numerous Boeing Aerospace plants in the greater Seattle area. Upon 20 years of service, Freddie was promoted as the FIRST Black Female Supervisor in the greater Seattle area. Freddie was a faithful and active member at New Hope Baptist Church for over 50 years and served on numerous Usher Boards and other departments at church until her illness. Freddie loved listening to gospel music, attending church, and serving the LORD, her family, talking about her grandchildren, shopping, and laughing at herself and at others. Freddie touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity, and maintained her trademark sense of humor all the way to the end. Family and friends are invited to attend a Going Home service on Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at 11am at New Hope Baptist Church, 116 21st Ave, Seattle, WA 98122. There will be a viewing Monday, June 15, from 4pm - 8pm at Evergreen-Washelli, 11111 N. Aurora Ave., Seattle, Washington 98133.
