To the Watkins family.  I am sorry for your loss.  Through baseball our families have a long standing wonderful tie and he will be sincerily missed.

To the family of Frederick B. Watkins: 
I am so sorry for your loss. I too will miss, Freddie, as I called him.  We have been friends since 1959 when I joined the ranks at Seattle Hardware Co. We had other ties to our friendship, several of my relatives & friends attended Bethany Lutheran. In recent years I had visited with Freddie while he was walking or driving thru the Pacific Lutheran Cemetary; when I would be bringing flowers, to my families graves. I always got a hug & then we got caught up on family & old friends. If we missed one another, he always knew when I had been there, by the fresh flowers, as he checked on things during his visits. I don't think anyone else can say they had a "Cemetery Buddy"!!! He LOVED his family so much. I especially remember when Kari was born & the years to follow. I think that everyone would agree Freddie had a wonderful  attribute, he was an extremely polite & true gentleman; and as you can tell a very special friend to me.

I just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear about Fred I waited on him every day at the Pancake Haus, He became like a grandfather to me. Im going to miss him very much.

My deepest sympathies to Fred's family.  I worked with Fred for many, many years at Seattle Hardware Company.  He was a very special man, and liked by all who came in contact with him.  I'm so sorry for your loss, and my thoughts are with you.

To Mr. Watkins Family,
Please accept our deepest sympathy for the loss of your father and grandfather.  He was a much admired customer here at our Union Bay Store for many years.  We were very sad when he came in several months ago to let us know that for health reasons he would not be able to come in any longer.  We were able to let him know at that time how much we would miss him and we are deeply saddened to learn of his passing.

Fred was a customer of mine when I used to work at the dry cleaners.  Everytime he came in he had a cheerful smile and would stay and chat awhile.  We were always happy to see him and would 'fight' to be the one to wait on him.  He will be very missed and you have my deepest sympathy.

Thinking about you, having experienced the terrible sadness of losing a loving parent and grandfather.  Hoping many wonderful memories and the love of your family and friends are helping to ease the pain you are feeling now.
