Gary Kent Bakken

Proceeded in death by parents Clarence & Eleanor

(Berg) Bakken. Gary passed peacefully on April 1, 2016

after a yearlong battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He grew

up in Ballard graduating from Ballard H.S. in 1958.

From the time he was a child until the day he left us he

was a loving, caring, and fun Husband, Dad, Grandpa and

Friend. Gary was an avid salt water fisherman, many knew

him as Fish On. He worked for many years for Carnation

Dairy delivering milk on a home and commercial route.

Later he drove for the US Postal Service in the MVS

division retiring in 2002. He is survived by his

Immediate family loving wife of 37 years Judy,

daughter Monica Brathas (Harry) and granddaughter

Ellison Waterworth in Walnut Creek CA, in Seattle by son

Christopher Bakken, sister Sharon Henderson, niece

Andrea Henderson and niece Jaimee Miller (Brian) in CO.

Plus numerous relatives in Judy's family. The family wants

to thank Dr. Edmond Marzbani and his staff at Seattle Cancer

Care Alliance Northgate for their efforts to give us more time

with our beloved. He will be missed and loved forever.
