Gary- you are already missed more than you ever imagined. Stacy, baby Lowel, & You were the first Lewis Family I met in Tampa 30 years ago. That night you made Tim & I a spaghetti dinner before sending us to Ybor where he proposed. You came to St. Petersburg several times with your huge quirky smile & funny stories that would leave the room laughting. You leave behind many memories for everyone who met you. May God Bless you in eternal Heaven.

My sincere condolences, so much love and prayers go out to Linda, Brian, Donny and Gail plus all of our families in the sudden loss of my cousin, Gary. 
I have lovely memories of our family get togethers either up on Marlin Heights and at the pool or at my parents house for holidays and cookouts. The Krazel reunion was the last time I saw Gary. Gary was a great friend and I was stunned to hear the news of his recent sudden passing.  
We met at a Christ the King Catholic Church Men’s Retreat several years ago and stayed in touch ever since. 

Gary would always greet you with such genuine warmth that you always left a conversation with him feeling some of his joy— a genuine gift.

Lowel and Devin there are no words that can ease the pain of your loss. But there are many good memories that will live on in each of you. Your father was so proud of each of you and loved you deeply. He was always beaming and excited after his visits with you and couldn’t wait to fill us in on what was happening in your lives. He was like a brother and best friend to John. He was part of our family and we will miss him terribly. We’re still in disbelief but blessed that we celebrated his birthday early before his move. You kids were always the first and last thought in his mind.
Devin he was so happy, impressed and proud of the young man that asked for your hand.

To the entire Lewis family,  The photo along with the obituary of Gary truly sums up what I remember of him. I like that the photo you chose , one that he’s smiling having fun on the golf course. Although I haven’t seen him in many years, he’s a forever friend… a part of our close Marland Heights group of kids that grew up together, Gary , always kind, talkative, smiling a lot, laughing a lot, gracious and friendly. It’s shocking news of his passing. My deepest heartfelt condolences to his entire family. My faith tells me that somewhere in heaven Gary is on the most beautiful golf course happy and radiantly  smiling .

One of my favorite memories was after a high school track meet, my dad surprised me that Gary had bought us tickets for the Penguins Lightning playoff game. We came down and my dad tried putting Gary in a penguins jacket and he was not having it! Not only was he my confirmation sponsor, he was a friend and a role model.

Gary, 
You were more than just my brother-in-law. You were our boy’s godfather, confirmation sponsor, favorite uncle, and in recent years, a brother to me.  You are embedded in so many recent events, leaving memories for us to cherish. Your generosity knew no bounds, whether hosting Don and Chase for a hockey game, taking Connor golfing,  to a concert or taking him to your favorite restaurants.  You were there for college moving days, graduations and football games. Our boys learned from you and admired you. I hope they inherited your adventurous spirit and zest for life. They will miss having you in their lives. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Lowell and Devin.  He was so very proud of them both. Grief is the price we pay for love.  Gary, you were loved. May you rest in eternal peace.

Gary was so full of energy, I’ve said many times even though I’m 25 years his junior, I felt old around him!  His enthusiasm and zest for life will be very missed. I hope to embody some of that enthusiasm in my own life and I think that is the best way to honor his memory. Gary, you will be missed by so many friends and family! You definitely left your mark.

I am so sorry for the loss of your dad and brother. Gary & I worked together at Alto Construction since Jan. of 2008.  Over the course of 17 years, we talked about many things-our families, travels, etc. We shared lots of laughter, and a few tears. Gary was a kind, good man. I considered him more of a friend than "just a co-worker." Although he was semi-retired from Alto & navigating "retirement" it will be hard knowing that he will not be returning. 
Gary loved sharing the successes of his son & daughter, & adventures with his siblings.

I met Gary when I began working for Alto Construction in 2018.  We became friends as well as colleagues and I very much enjoyed the years I worked with him. 
Gary was always friendly and always seemed to have a smile.  He thoroughly enjoyed meeting and talking to people and developing relationships.  I would say he put the "Gary" in gregarious.
