

George is survived by his wife Frances Brown and his sister Joan Talbot; he is preceded in death by his father Marshall Brown, his mother Mae Brown, and his brothers Phil and Joel Brown.
George was born on July 11, 1923 in Seattle Washington to Mae and Marshall Brown. He graduated from Roosevelt High School and went on to the University of Washington to study Engineering where studies were cut short upon assignment to Adak, Alaska to serve in the US Army. Upon return from service George picked up his studies at the University of Washington changing his major to Business and Economics. He later acquired and successfully ran his own water company.
He was an active member of the University Presbyterian Church, the Washington Athletic Club, and a frequent guest at the Yellow Point resort in British Columbia where he enjoyed tennis, nature, music, and dancing. George was an avid traveler. He was a generous man, a devoted husband, and beloved by his friends and family.
A funeral is scheduled for December 4th, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Evergreen Washelli Memorial Park in Seattle. Reception following the service also at Washelli. Please come and celebrate George's life. The family would like to thank family members, doctors, nurses, and the caregivers who dedicated their time and skill to comfort and support George.
