George Darrow died November 24, 2001 in Seattle, WA He was born on March 28, 1923 to George H. and Lydia K. Darrow in Portland, OR. He attended Jefferson High School, Multnomah College and the University of Washington. He was married to his wife MAry Ellen from 1945 until her death in 1974. He was subsequently married and later divorced from BeBe Burns. He served in the U.S. Navy during W.W. II, and retired as a Lieutenant from the U.S. Naval Reserve. He spent his career in Plant, Transmission and Protection engineering for GTE Northwest, retiring in 1981 after 35 years of service. George was a nationally ranked Senior tennis player and founding member of the Everett Racket club, known today as the Silver Lake Tennis and Fitness Club. He is survived by his daughters Lee Darrow of Seattle and Laurie Darrow Lamb of Tillamook,OR, and two grandsons: Samuel Darrow Mulder and John Taylor Jack Mulder of Tillamook.
