George F. Kelley, 92, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2009 in Kirkland WA. George, a long-time Monroe resident, is survived by his wife of 70 years, Maxine; his son Gary (Sheryl) Kelley and daughter Patricia Champlin; brother Bob Kelley; six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. George was a private pilot and passed his love of aviation on to many in his family. He also enjoyed traveling the country with his wife in their RV and visiting friends and relatives. He was affectionately known as "everyone's favorite uncle". His memorial will be held September 19, 2009 at 1:30 pm at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home, Bothell. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are given to the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States (VFW).
