Born May 25th, 1922. Died at Providence Hospital on Sunday December 3rd, 2000. George was a native of Washington, attending Roosevelt High School and the University of Washington. He also obtained an engineering degree from MIT. As a major in the 8th Airforce, George served in WWII and retired as Lieutenant Colonel. He was an engineer at Boeing for 30 years. George was active in the German Shepherd Dog Club and an AKC Tracking Judge. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nicole Schmidtke, and his two daughters Caroline Regis, and Dr. Michelle Schmidtke; grandson Nicholas Regis and granddaughter Ariel Schmidtke.
