

Georgia Eva (Miller) Johnson, 89, died at the Marysville Adult Family Home in Tulalip, WA on Thursday, November 17, 2016. Born July 7, 1927 in Cassopolis, Michigan to Joseph and Georgiana Miller she grew up in South Bend Indiana, graduating from John Adams High School class of 1945.
Georgia attended nursing school at Memorial Hospital in South Bend graduating in 1948. She worked in the operating room at Elkhart General Hospital, Indiana for a short time and then retured to work at Memorial Hospital. Georgia moved to Seattle in 1960 working as an RN at Swedish Hospital. Georgia's landlord encouraged her to attend a Tip Topper's meeting (a club for tall people) where she met the love of her life, Dale Johnson. Dale and Georgia were married on June 10, 1961 at Fauntleroy Church in West Seattle. Wayne Scott was born July of 1962 and Susan Kay was born 18 months later in January of 1964, ending Georgia's nursing career to be a full time Mom.
Georgia leaves behind her sister, Betty Thornton (South Bend), sister-in-law Norma Hansen (Spokane), son Wayne (& his wife Lisa) (Snohomish), daughter Susan (& her husband David) Zaretzke (Lake Stevens), five grandchildren, one great grandson, three nieces and four nephews.

In memorandum, the family will abide by Georgia's wishes to have her ashes scattered along with her husband's near Beverly Beach on the Oregon Coast, a favorite destination for camping when her kids were young.
